first contact with yoga:

I was in Dublin and a friend invited me to her yoga class.  Soon after, we took a weekend yoga retreat to the countryside: stone walls, green fields and jumping lambs everywhere.  It was an incredible and memorable introduction to a practice that has brought me so many riches over the years.

I’m originally from Montreal, Canada.

Hip hop.  I love to dance.

Lakefront most often but I love the creativity of Wicker Park.

    Yoga has happily been a part of my life for the past seventeen years.  I have immense respect and appreciation for the gifts and benefits that yoga provides.  It’s a joy and an honor to offer this studio as a opportunity for you to discover (or continue to discover) what yoga means to you:  a great workout, stress reduction, increased energy, heightened focus and awareness, introspective observation, spiritual clarification.  Whatever it is, the potential is endless, really.  As you grow, yoga grows with you.

    My work history has been really varied and fun, from working in the film industry up in Canada, to teaching children, to practicing Ayurvedic massage.  As far as education goes, I have a BA in Liberal Arts and a BS in Nursing.  Mixed into all of that have been many unforgettable and life-changing travel experiences.

    All this and so much more have brought me to where I am now, happy owner of Namaskar YOGA studio (among many other things).  I can honestly say that I’ve never felt better and am genuinely excited to see what each day brings. 

    Outside of yoga, I have a great passion for dance, Latin dance in particular and I couldn’t do without my bike and healthy food.  

     I look so forward to meeting and learning more about all of you and figuring out how we here at Namaskar YOGA can best support you and your growing relationship with yoga.
